Dear ASPBAE Members and Friends,

I am pleased to enclose an issue of Ed-lines themed on ASPBAE's 8th General Assembly held with the theme - re-IMAGINE, re-THINK, re-CREATE: Adapting to change, preserving the gains, ensuring empowering education and lifelong learning for ALL.

This Ed-lines highlights the processes that culminated in the Regional Strategic Planning workshop, held virtually for the first time. Furthermore, apart from presenting the Asia Pacific and sub-regional education context reflecting the learnings and challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the work of ASPBAE’s members, particularly related to youth and Adult Learning and Education (ALE), this edition also presents the future priorities and directions of ASPBAE’s four strategies to inform the new strategic plan (2021-2024). Last but not the least, this Ed-lines (June 2021) aims to capture the emerging themes that arose from sub-regional national consultations held with members throughout the region, and from the Regional Strategic Planning workshop, that ASPBAE will prioritise in the coming period.
